Sometimes you just know a piece needs a new life. Take this vintage Lane entertainment stand. Here's what I first saw at a thrift store. Vintage Lane Entertainment Stand Before Makeover by Larissa of Prodigal Pieces | prodigalpieces.com prodigalpieces Yes, please! It's cute, functional, and full of that Mid Century vintage vibe I adore. You can see my past MCM makeovers HERE. However, it does need updating and a refreshing new look because it's worn and has damage...er...puppy damage. The corner and a few legs were chew toys. And, on top there are ring marks all over. Stained Interior of Vintage Lane Entertainment Stand |prodigalpieces.com prodigalpieces

DIY TIME

First, I make repairs to the chew toy with some wood filler and sand it smooth once it cures. Then, I staple the back on to make it nice and solid. Stapling Back on Lane Entertainment Stand | prodigalpieces.com Next, I apply a stain-blocking primer called BIN primer by Zinsser with a micro foam roller Priming Entertainment Stand with BIN Primer | prodigalpieces.com prodigalpieces While that cures, I apply a fun design to the sliding doors. Gotta have some fun with it, right?

THE REVEAL

Finally, after adding a fun color to the interior and dressing it up a bit more, we have our finished vintage Lane entertainment stand made new. As soon as I saw this piece I thought, I bet that has sold already...and it has! Super creative design Larissa. Often times artistic creative people produce very similar works each time, but you certainly don't fit that norm. Each piece is so unique; just keeps me on the edge of my seat waiting to see the final showpiece :) Magnificent my dear!

Mandy is truly a Godsend. I’m sure she feels the same about you or else she wouldn’t be blessing you with the various pieces to work your magic on! Great make over as always- love how you preserved the MCM vibe with the geometric paint job! Super!
