It's fun to take a stroll down memory lane and every Tuesday this month my blogger friends and I are digging into our archives and pulling out some of our favorite makoevers for Trash to Treasure Transformation Tuesday. For this week, I have decided to focus on some of my favorite rocking chair makeovers, including one in particular.

Some of my most coveted custom orders from
my shop have been for rocking chairs for new moms or moms-to-be. What a true blessing that is to be able to help someone welcome a new person to the world. So when another request came in for an upholstered rocking chair, I set out to find something to fit the bill and here is what I came up with. An Art Deco beauty that has seen lots of love.

This rocking chair was owned by a mom of two boys and told me she would take it everywhere with her because it was the only rocking chair in existence that would soothe her colicky baby. In her words, "A true lifesaver". I think mothers everywhere can relate to those feelings, right? Sometimes we'll do anything to make baby happy.
