Don't you just love when you find something that you can't get enough of? I mean, I have a stash of vintage tablecloths I love to use on special occasions or just because. However, I also am finding oodles of uses for these stained tablecloths I first upcycled into dolls, and then my bucket hat. Additionally, I'm all about these gems I have stuffed into this whiskey jug and making them into refashioned tablecloth clothespin butterflies. Whiskey Jug of Antique Clothespins for Refashioning | prodigalpieces.com prodigalpieces While most days I have this tucked as decor in my laundry room, this time I'm digging into these treasures of mine for my Reduce, Reuse, REFASHION time (the last Tuesday of the month, typically) Reduce, Reuse, REFASHION series hosted by Larissa of Prodigal Pieces | Come learn to create for you and your home | prodigalpieces.com prodigalpieces What is more, I'm eager to celebrate this spring season and the coming summer by creating some whimsical butterflies.

CREATING

First, I print out a free template I found online and size it as wide as possible, about 7" L x 5" H. Afterward, I cut them out, iron, and sew the pieces wrong sides facing with a small seam allowance and leaving a 1 ½" opening for stuffing. KALIEDESCOPE

Last, I stick a clothespin on and cut a bit of twine and adhere with a small amount of either fabric glue or hot glue. Likewise, I just saw my first butterfly of the season and my heart soared. So adorable and fun. LOVE butterflies and LOVE strawberries! I can see using these for pincushions (if people still use them ha!) or jewelry/lapel pins. Many blessings and Happy Friday!
