You know good and well I don't like to consider something to be trash unless it is totally worthless. In this case, I'm taking a build I made four years ago and salvaging what I can for new. If you look below, you can see a DIY centerpiece planter I made for our patio decor. It was time my reclaimed planter be retired and the parts finding new uses. Today, I'm creating a hanging fence planter to grow up. However, some is too far gone to salvage or burn because of metal in it. We compost our ash and don't want any toxins in it for our garden. Also, I dig into the wood I salvaged from tearing down my dining room ceiling. And...I have these trellises from purchasing clematis plants for my flower beds. First, I use my pocket joint jig to assemble the frame. NEXT STEPS

Next, once I have my frame assembly, I want to add a bit of color fun. In my stash, I have a sample jar of a color I custom-mixed for another past project. And, I have this coral colored spray paint from my serving cart makeover. The jar was too soft a color, and the can too bright, so I mix them together. Painting Hanging Fence Planter | prodigalpieces.com Yes, I'm quirky and do what makes me happy. haha! Best way to be y'all. Then, as soon as my paint cures, I add the planter box and the trellis to finish it off. In addition, I also add a rope hanger to make it suit what I need. Before I show you the reveal, take a peek at my patio after winter, rainy spring, and finally opening up our furniture. Very nice! I remember when you made that original planter! I still love it with the candles and all. You pulled off a great rescue of the reusable parts though. Also, a very nice addition of color to that space. ? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! ?

Awesome!! I hated to tear it up, but it felt good to keep what I could going. Plus, changing my fence up keeps me happy while I wait to move to country land. Birthdays are fun! :D
