It's that time of year, at least around here, where everything is lush, flowers are blooming, gardens are beginning and all I see is GREEN. sigh... such a time to savor, isn't it? Today, I want to put together my top picks for my green furniture makeovers all in one spot. I have more than ten but will pick the top ten with some honorable mentions. After you read through and visit, let me know your favorite too!
Here's a color sampling over the last twelve years I've been blogging. YES, I've been around since 2012 doing this DIY thing. While my blogging adventure began out of a point where I needed to
do for myself, it has grown to be much more than that.
Okay, so I'm showing my age and I'm proud of it. woot! In no particular order, here are ten of my green furniture makeovers (not counting decor and other projects) for you.
FURNITURE MAKEOVER 1
First, two years into my blogging career, I scored this antique radio cabinet for $5 on the side of the road. (aka.
trashure).
With much fun and persistence, I'm able to turn it into a sewing cabinet.

FURNITURE MAKEOVER 2
Then, in that same year, I also had a friend find this antique settee for me on the curb. Broken arm, damaged upholstery, and oodles of TLC needed. After loads of elbow grease, I got it up and back to better than new. You can see the

That green linen is one of my favorite fabrics I also use on
this Queen Anne bench HERE.
FURNITURE MAKEOVER 3
In addition, that same year, I had many custom requests out of state from
my online store. One of the orders included two chests of drawers for a gal's daughters who had completely different tastes. One was into rustic country while the other loves Mid Century. Here is a gorgeous piece made to her liking with green showcasing on the front.
With fresh stain, paint, and keeping with the original hardware, this vintage piece has new life in a new look. You can read the

FURNITURE MAKEOVER 4
Yet again in that same year, this pair of empire chests came into my possession. The tallboy got a
new look HERE, while this shorter dresser got a time-worn look with
blue and green HERE.
This one is a fun feature of how layering paint can really give a piece an entirely new "old" story.
FURNITURE MAKEOVER 5
For the next feature, I found these louver closet doors and built it into a corner display cabinet. This green, however, packs more of a punch and give it a pop of color, don't you think? Read how

FURNITURE MAKEOVER 6
Honestly, the next green furniture makeover is my favorite of all time. I put countless hours into it and I wish I would have kept it for me. My hand-painted roses are center stage, and the shading really gave it class. Who knew the veneer was so bad, eh?

Y'all you just can't beat
trashure or shopping Curb le Chic. This totally retro piece of wooden luggage is perfect as a nightstand when paired with a set of MCM legs a friend gifted me.
All I needed to do was a bit of elbow grease and have fun with it. Though, I'm not going to lie, it was loads of work. Read all about

FURNITURE MAKEOVER 8
While often times we try to create more storage, I've been on a purging spree the last few years. That includes, this chest of drawers my sons would fill up with junk. I took it out and upcycled it into a map cabinet. woot!
Not only is it much better looking, but now in someone else's home not causing me to nit-pick clutter. win-win. Peek at

Also, I am a kid at heart and love to create for my kiddos and others. When I found this at a thrift store, I instantly had an idea to make this
into a farmer's market. I mean, wouldn't you? haha!

Last, but definitely not least, this vintage secretary with curves and all was a blast to recreate to a new style. With a lighter interior color and this slate green (same as I've used in
my kitchen/home trim and many other projects) gives it a refreshing new look. See the

Okay, okay... I couldn't stop at 10. Moreover, I have to feature this wretched gun cabinet that wasn't supposed to come into my possession. However, made lemonade with those lemons and
create a cabinet instead for many uses in the home.
With that, there are my ten green furniture makeovers. Likewise, I have these others for "honorable mention", but honestly, they're just as important to me as the others.
