Earlier this week, I happened upon two lonesome tables. One, of which, is this one you see below. The other, however, is a vintage tea set table, is already revived as I show you HERE. Whereas, today I have this thrifted antique table that is in need of a little spunk, don't you think? Ornate Antique Side Table Before | prodigalpieces.com prodigalpieces Furthermore, the table is still solid, it does have a few issues (don't we all?). A dog chewed the foot of one leg, the top veneer is missing, and a few legs need glued. You can see my past work in these posts here:

REVIVAL TIME

Honestly, this update will be straightforward. First, I take note of damage and make repairs as needed. That means sanding, veneer repair, and gluing up those legs. Then, as soon as I have it all prepped, I begin with mixing a custom color paint to brighten my dark days. Next, I need to bring out those glorious details to really make them shine. So, using my artist's brush and a soft gray paint, I highlight a few of the details. I’m always amazed by your patience to do the rehab needed to even get to the point of painting or refinishing. The table looks great and I like the highlighted accents. I’m sure whoever nabs this up will enjoy it for a long time!

I feel like these pieces remind me of me and how patient God is to take His time and see the beauty. Thank you for the vote of confidence, Niki.

How fun! This table (and the one before on your previous post) look wonderful! What a fun revival and fresh look to both. It’s always an inspiration to see what you can make beautiful again!

My great aunt had this exact table and I got it after she passed away. It has a heavy piece of glass over it in the exact shape of the table, curves and all. I recently gave it to my niece who is named after my great aunt. Lovely job on your table!

What a treasure to have, Diana. I've had one with the glass too and they are such a treat. Thank you for the love. :)

Just lovely! What wax do you use to get that luster? Please and thank you

Thank you! Sometimes I make my own, but this time it was a cream wax by DecoArt.
