Earlier this week, I happened upon two lonesome tables. One, of which, is this one you see below. The other, however, is a vintage tea set table, is already revived as
I show you HERE. Whereas, today I have this thrifted antique table that is in need of a little spunk, don't you think?

Furthermore, the table is still solid, it does have a few issues (don't we all?). A dog chewed the foot of one leg, the top veneer is missing, and a few legs need glued.

Also, as you can imagine, every time I find these spreader leg tables, I just have to rescue them. You can see my past work in these posts here:
REVIVAL TIME
Honestly, this update will be straightforward. First, I take note of damage and make repairs as needed. That means sanding, veneer repair, and gluing up those legs. Then, as soon as I have it all prepped, I begin with mixing a custom color paint to brighten my dark days.

And so, I feel a sigh of relief already.
In addition, I apply two coats letting cure in between. Next, I need to bring out those glorious details to really make them shine. So, using my artist's brush and a soft gray paint, I highlight a few of the details.

Last, but not least, I use a creme wax to topcoat the table to seal the paint and give it a soft luster.
REVIVAL COMPLETE
Finally, after my DIY fun, this thrifted antique table is now ready for many more years with its new "old" look.

Not only did this table wobble and have dog chews on the legs, but it also now rests and showcases all the details meant to shine.

Additionally, the top has a finish that will hold up for many more years. You know I'm a sucker for blue!

Do you adore it as I do? Whatever the color, I hope you can see how the table has come to life. If you'd like to make this a part of your home, you can find it and more in
my online store.
