Spray Shelter ~ Miracles Do Happen

I have a pile of wood pieces that need to be painted for me to finish decorating! I would love to win this!

What an amazing idea! I have a small curio that I want to spray, but it is always such a challenge. Thank you for the information concerning this product.

Larissa, I could definitely use the small HomeRight spray shelter! I would use it to spray five small drawers that go with a small Lowboy I am redoing for my foyer.

Hi Larissa, just wanted to let you know how much I love your blog. I just recently found it and have went back in the archives to read all of your great posts. You are a very talented lady.you have given me the inspiration to paint and use things I have had for a long time in new ways and in different rooms.My husband asks where did you buy that and I say, we had it but look how much better it looks now ! he is happy because he never wants to get rid of anything ,and now he doesn't have too. now we do projects together,he cuts and hammers things and I paint. I would love to have a HomeRight spray shelter to use as I just unearthed a box of items in our basement from the 80's, wood candle sticks, wall plaques, a breadbox and a cute letter holder for mail. I told you we never get rid of anything! I think I would use all of these things if I just cleaned them up and painted them,the HomeRight spray shelter would be great for those kind of items I think. P.S. my husband loves to show people what we have transformed , he loves doing it as much as I do now that he is retired.

Hi Larissa, I could use this wonderful invention on soooooo many things! I, too, tend to make an oooopsy when spraying furniture and hit things that I didn't mean to spray :0(. The first thing I would use the shelter on would be a little charging station that I plan to give a make over. It has so many nooks and crannies that spraying will be much easier than using a brush! Oh dear- my list is wide and long! Just to name a few - I have brass candlesticks that need to be painted, I have an old lamp I want to paint and I have some wood boards to make signs that certainly need a good spraying. What would I use my new spray shelter for? Better question would be, "What WOULDN'T I use my spray shelter for? " Would really help me from spraying the car (don't tell my husband) again! I might even curl up in it like a sleeping baby at the beach.

I am a 74 year old DIYer. Everything in my house that is paintable -- is painted. I would use it to spray a collection of bottles for display.

I have two trays that I have to paint for Christmas related projects (one wood, one metal), so this would be perfect! I have the large shelter, but as you said, I don't always want to drag it out for the smaller projects (and then I end up with overspray on my daughter's backyard lawn - ouch). I hope I win!

I would use it for everything. I also use sheets, cardboard and anything eles I can find. My space is pretty small so this would be perfect. I had to laugh when I read your post regarding the part about explaining to your husband where that paint spot came from, I hear that line often. lol Its a good thing he is a good sport. I love how convenient the shelter is to set up and put away. Often, I get too excited to begin spraying and it is only later that I regret my haste when I discover my overspray on another project! I will miss your blogs in early September but am so glad you are taking that first week off to focus on homeschool. Treasure the time-no matter how chaotic or "not the way you dreamed it"- it comes to an end and that is bittersweet. I have a bunch of bowls and candlesticks that I have been saving to create some vignette displays - that tent would be perfect for those projects.

I have a light fixture I've been hanging onto that is so outdated but couldn't bare to part with because I know there is greatness just dying to come out of it! That would be the very first thing among the many projects I can see myself using this for!

Oh wow! How did I not know this existed? I'm always piling boxes or scrap lumber around to build myself a little painting shelter - such a pain! What would I paint first? Oh my...so many projects on my list. Probably my stash of frames.

I would spray paint some of my old silver serving platters! I tape off the beautiful filigree edges and handles then spray paint. The engraving shows thru and I do decorative painting over that! This shelter would be perfect!!

Could have used it last nite when I was dragging in a piece at 8:30 , after dark!! that I had spray painted in the driveway. I have a small mountain by my garage door that makes me feel guilty every day, just waiting for the weather to be right, and the rain to stop, sigh... BUT if they had their own "changing room"..... they could be done in the garage.....and just think of all the pumpkins and gourds coming up!

It makes it so easy to store and use. I wish I had one to give to everyone!

In the beginning of summer, I bought a can of gold Rustoleum spray paint to renew a boring old white oscillating fan. I've been a little overwhelmed thinking of it, not knowing if I could get the paint on evenly without unintentionally painting everything else around the project site. Oh my goodness, the things I could paint (besides the grass, driveway, floor) using this pop up wonder! My house has a bit of a jungle of plants going on, so I would probably start with the hodge podge of planters, baskets, and shelves I've thrifted to showcase them all.

I have several small projects that need painting, an old bread box, picnic basket, a small table top storage shelf... this would be a big help in getting these items done.

Two years ago I painted a little bookcase for my daughter and I'm STILL finding lavender overspray mist in the nooks and crannies of my small shop. I love the shelter! I have even tried spray painting outside to avoid the "oops I did not mean to get paint on that". But it seems like a leaf or pine needle always finds its way to the middle of my project. Right now I have a pile of picture frames that I want to paint.

Hello Larissa! I actually haven't done any furniture flipping yet BUT I have been looking forward to starting with my kids 1950's Haywood Wakefield school chairs I picked up for $1.00 a piece! The metal frame would fit perfectly in this small tent! And since we live in a apartment complex with a small yard this is absolutely perfect for projects! Love your pieces, god bless

Larissa My husband has a long DIY list of things to spray for me, but taking the time to set up something outside and then spray it and hope for no bugs to land has dampened enthusiasm. Oh my gosh Larissa, I had no idea they even made such things! Where have you been all my life!! You don't know how much trouble I have gotten in for spray painting my patio table or the grass in our lawn! I could use one of these for anything that I spray paint which is everything! I have found that rather than buy new, a new color, a couple knobs or some new flowers pretty much updates anything into this century! Right now, I have some vases that I would like painted to update the décor in my built in shelves in my living room but that is far from the endless possibilities this thing would open up in my "redoing" world!!!!!!

Larissa, I would use the spray shelter for my new project of spraying metal hanging baskets. I then wire two together and place lights inside for an awesome outside hanging light! I gave one to my brother for his birthday, now three more family members want one!!! Also, I have just recently discovered your blog and absolutely love it!!

I have three wooden candlesticks that I'm planning on refinishing. This would be perfect to make for easier cleanup!

The question is "what would I not use it for?" Lately, I've been doing a lot of painting of little items and I've tried to set up a make shift area in my yard. I've covered the grass with plexiglass for my projects and I'm killing my grass...not good! I have a plate rack just like yours in my garage that is in need of paint, picture frames as well. The question is, what wouldn't I use it for? I haunt garage sales, thrift stores, and flea markets and try to find those things that scream "Paint me and make me pretty!" ?I have a small one drawer nite stand with an open area at the bottom that I started to paint with a brush but stopped because I hated the color I had picked and visible brush strokes! I have a nightstand that is just begging for a spray job! This would sure beat my appliance boxes I currently use!

I just had to paint some hinges and knobs yesterday.. I used a small box and a piece of foam board to make a little shelter but still had over spray. One of these shelters would be perfect for small jobs like that. My next project I will be working on is a small shelf turned cabinet.

I've been looking at this for a while. It would make painting my signs so much easier than setting up the large paint shelter (which I love, it's just too big sometimes).

I would love to paint some knock knacks I got from this summers flea market trips. I got the idea from Pinterest to take older knock knacks like gnomes, bookends, candlesticks, etc a brightly colored hue to give them new life! I am eager to do this with some of my finds! The first thing I'd paint is the air intake vents in my house. The paint has worn off and they've become rusted. They're such an eyesore right now. This sure would make the job of painting them so much easier!

I'm constantly spray painting on my porch, lol I've given up trying to hide it, so one spot is multi coloured haha. If I won the spray shelter, the very first thing I would use t to spray would be (I have a wooden bowl thingie exactly like the one in this post) I would spray my wooden bowl, and the exact color as yours. In this house I have painted bathroom cabinets but bath is far far from finished. Have small cabinets and shelves that need to be painted. I have old world French theme but spraying these small cabinet and shelves is a must. I go outside and use a tarp but it goes everywhere. Hi Larissa , The first things I will be painting if I win this is probably either wood pieces to make vintage signs or spray painting vases/candle holders etc. I am acting as wedding planner for one of my best friends and I am creating her cute signs to display at the wedding in the reception area, the cocktail area which is outside by a fireplace and the signs for the photo booth, welcome signs etc. We are also spray painting a variety of old glass vases and containers into different shades of gold and rose gold since her flowers will be mostly white and green, these will be the pops of color and sparkle !:) I've been spray painting in my garage on a flimsy cardboard box and have paint streaks on my garage walls and floor, this rosy the would be so helpful especially since most of the items I'll be painting in the near future are small items for this wedding. Fingers crossed !

A spray Shelter, WOW! Currently I am using an old wobbly cardboard box (water heater came in) and a tarp on the floor of my garage. I have to move car out so as not to paint it. Since I do quite a bit of painting this would be ever so wonderful.

???? This product. I am a spray paint fanatic!! I can't get enough of adding color to boring, plain Jane furniture , crafts and anything else that isn't nailed down!! I am sure my end result will be much better with the use of the Homeright Spray Shelter! BTW great blog!

I could clear coat my mason jars I paint by hand without coating anything nearby.

Well, I just made a huge mess this weekend spray painting mason jars for a Girl Scout project. Trying to look at the silver specks all over my garage/ laundry area as a glittery enhancement. Half full, right? I have frames and trays and signs I'd like to paint next. You make it look so easy and clean with that shelter.

What a fabulous product!! I spray paint everything!!! From my china hutch, to small knick knack accents, and everything in between!! I would use this next to paint a table for my 16 year old son who is just launching his first business, a converted 1967 travel trailer into a traveling photo booth....The Snappy Camper ? This would save me from turning my grass varied colors from overspray ?

Since I refurbish furniture I can use this for all of my smaller projects. I actually have a cabinet in my bathroom that I want to paint and this shelter would be perfect. I do all of my painting on my apartment patio and it's difficult sometimes not to get paint on the floor. I've made shelters out of cardboard boxes, can you imagine that....not very practical not to mention very messy!!!! This shelter would solve all of my refinishing projects.

Wow. I'm a dyi wannabe only cuz I've no place to work and spray without doing major damage. I heard about the big tent few days ago. But I feel I should start small and build up to doing big pieces! Thanks for posting about this smaller version of the Homeright spray tent. I would love to have one to paint these old banisters (that I acquired off someone's curb of course). I want to transform them with paint and a small piece of wood at the top to make notepad holders or recipe card holders. I plan on giving them as gifts at a Christmas brunch we have every year at my church.

I have the cuteset decorative shelves for my kiddos room but hey are ahideous orange/brown color, so I'd definitely be painting those first!

When my son stopped by on his way to the city dump I rifled through his truck bed and rescued two sorry looking Christmas reindeer. After pulling off the lights and wiring, i decided to spray paint the frames. I've done one, and made a royal mess in the workshop. I'm going to order one of these before I tackle the next frame.

This is the perfect size for those smaller project; which are mostly what I do! I usually cover my outside garbage can and spray from there. So that is dependent on the weather. My next one will be a 3 piece set of wooden candle holders.

I love to thrift and this would be perfect for spraying decorative items that need a little love or don't match my color scheme. It's the perfect size!

Hi Larissa! I have been reading your blog for over a year now. What inspiration I've gotten from your posts! This past spring I bought the Homeright large spray tent. I just love it and have used it on all sorts of furniture pieces. I don't go to the bother of setting it up when I have a small job, such as a picture frame or cigar box. As I use an old packing box and risk over-spray,I have thought about how great a mini spray tent would be... Great minds, Larissa!! I would love this small spray tent to use on mini projects such as boxes, chandeliers, crafts, oh the list is endless☺️. I'm crossing my fingers that my name will be picked. Wow Larissa, this little guy is awesome, and quite the time saver! I would use the Homeright paint tent to finally get after some of my larger wicker baskets! I currently have some baskets displayed on the top of my china hutch, and I would prefer to paint them in lieu of buying new baskets! I love how easily you can transform something with a can of spray paint so we spray paint A LOT! I say we because I often get my husband to paint things for me. Growing up and in college he had jobs that required him to spray paint motors, panels and more so he is really good at it. If it's small and simple tho, I'll do it myself rather than wait on him. However, no matter who actually does the painting, I always do the setup. I usually try to find a box to spray in but don't always have one the right size on hand and then I'm left trying rig up something so your first picture looked very familiar to me. I have the larger Spray Shelter but know this one would be even more useful for the kind of stuff we frequently do. I made a haul at Goodwill just today and I have plans to spray basically every item I bought, all of which would fit nicely in this shelter so thanks for the opportunity to win one!

I have several items I could use the spray shelter for. Probably one of the first things I would paint would be a buffet or a dresser .Afterwards I have several things I could spray paint. I always have to wait for a day when the wind does not blow. The spray shelter would be a big help for me.
