DIY TIME
I even tried upside down glass insulators...anything! I wasn't going to give up on this cool thing I paid 25 cents for. tsk. It wasn't until I found these tiny jelly molds.

THE REVEAL
Now they're ready to rock 'n roll with my patio design.

Very nice, I'm still curious about its former life but you did a great job in creating a planter out of it.

Thanks. I think you'll agree to it's origin if you check here.

Your repurposed planter is nice but the outdoor space is stunning. It seems to look better each time you show it. Nice new outdoor seating unit too!! Enjoy!

So you still have the Royal Crown cola footstool for sale? Price? I would love to buy it for my hubby!

'Afternoon. Your planter is just adorable. I love the little molds. I have a bunch of them now I just have to find a holder. Hope you're feeling better. It seems when you catch a bug in the summer it takes twice as long to feel good again. Relax (ha ha) as much as you can and enjoy your peaceful yard. Peace & Love Kim

It sure looks better as a succulent planter than I imagine it would as a tumbler holder as some suggested it may have been. Very nice patio you've got going on!

Yes, I see it now. I don't remember any quite like yours but we had the album or record holders and the glassware holders. And now I am showing my age:) I like your interpretation, it is by far more useful and so pretty on your table.

Seriously girl, only you would come up with a way to pair a mystery metal thingy and old mini jello molds into something totally fabulous!!!? Your outdoor space is so inviting too! Hope you're feeling better soon. xo

They look cute even free-standing too. Yes, summer illness is never fun. Thanks for the love!

It reminds me of the old jam holders I'd see in a country cafe. ?

I thought that too! So fun to reinvent uses for old things. :)

Your mystery thingie is a condiment, syrup, or jelly holder from a diner back in the 50s, 60s, or 70s. The handle on top made it portable and held menus or "daily special" sheets.

Yep, I guess it so, but thought it fun to throw around ideas. I remember them from an old dive my parent's would take us to when I was very young.

Cheryl, we just used the hardware recommended for our length and then built it to fit. I have seen many tutorials on Pinterest and YouTube. ;)

Wow! Your back outdoor living space (it’s far too beautiful to be called a patio!) makes me swoon!!! It just goes to prove one can make anything out of almost any space. I love the warmth and coziness you’ve created with your backyard!!
