MEMORY LANE
The classic lines of a Mid Century Modern pieces are just amazing to me. I've done several in my time, let's take a peek at a few:A curbside find (yes, CURBSIDE!!)
My thrifted Broyhill Brasilia sticker fun - you have to see the before!
Also, my unexpected thrifted pair found at Goodwill
As you can imagine, I have fun finding these gems and have done so many, but the one I'm working on now has a fun twist. Here's what it looked like when I brought it home.
DIY TIME
In great shape with only minor wear and solid as a rock with dove-tailed drawers and original pulls. Aren't those carved top drawers spectacular? What a truly unique piece.
I honestly was cringing at the thought of painting such a beauty, but I'm tickled with my results too. Oh, and look what I found in the top drawer...
eep! How awesome are these hand-drawn charcoal prints?!! These will be perfect in my boys' room makeover.
So, what's the fun aspect that the client requested? See for yourself.
My all-time favorite finish to the pieces is that white cabinet with dark wood drawers or vice versa. But, whoa...I LOVE that citron green color!! It's a Benjamin Moore color, called Perennial.
A statement piece and so full of fun, don't you think?
I had fun staging this piece with my collection of gilded frames and mirrors.
PEEK INSIDE
My client's daughter also requests that the bottom interior of the drawers have a dark charcoal gray for a bit of party on the inside.
It's fun to think outside the box and create unique pieces. No one can say this came from a box store. tsk.
If you've enjoyed this makeover, I invite you to pin and share. ♥
