Do you ever get the itch to stitch?  What I mean is, do you like to let go of the day's anxieties, grab a needle and floss and just let your creative juices flow?

I rarely can take a minute to do that, but it's all good because one day I will have too much time on my hands.  Working on projects for myself are few and far between, especially at this time of year when Christmas is calling.

But...(there's always a but, right?)  I was recently gifted with an early present of a smartphone. gasp.  My cell phone usage has pretty much been to take up space in my pocket and to be there in case of emergency.  Most of my friends don't even know I have one.

So, to get a smartphone was exciting and sort of, "well, now what" moment.  What a handy gadget it is!  To protect my gift and give myself a treat, I whipped up this little cozy for my new friend.

My husband received a phone as well, and he is like a kid in a candy store.  Aren't all guys like that with gadgets?  I really didn't think he was the type, but he's used his more than me already.

We received some nice freebie cases with our phones, but that thing is UGLY!  My husband has been using his and I asked him if he'd like a case like mine.  He politely refused.  But... (there it is again) I made one for his stocking anyway. tee hee.
